Description

The Colt Combat Commander is a classic Commander-size 1911, and this vintage example is chambered in the desirable .38 Super Automatic. Serial number 70BS77560 dates to 1978 production, as shown by the Colt serial-number lookup provided with the pistol.

This example retains the traditional configuration with a blued finish, checkered wood grips with Colt medallions, fixed sights, spur hammer, grip safety, and manual thumb safety. The slide carries the classic “Combat Commander Colt .38 Super Automatic” markings and rampant Colt logo, while the magazine floorplate is marked “Colt Super .38 Auto.”

Overall, the pistol is in very good used condition. The blued finish remains strong, although light surface scratches, handling marks, and normal finish wear are visible in the photographs.
