This 1957 Smith & Wesson Pre-Model 29 is a vintage powerhouse, representing the early production era of what would become one of the most iconic revolvers in American history. Chambered in .44 Magnum with a 6.5" ribbed barrel, this six-shot revolver features a factory blued finish with a ramped front sight and fully adjustable rear—ideal for serious range use or collecting.

The revolver retains approximately 85% of its original finish, with some expected light wear and a faint drag line on the cylinder. It still exhibits crisp timing, tight lockup, and a strong bore with clean rifling. The case-colored serrated trigger and spurred hammer maintain their vintage charm, while the checkered target grips with S&W medallions complete the classic presentation. A must-have for collectors of early magnum revolvers.

Company address and monogram on the right side of the frame. 6-shot fluted cylinder. Round steel barrel with full rib. Ramped front sight with adjustable U-notch rear. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Case colored serrated trigger and spurred hammer. Checkered target grips with "S&W" medallions. CONDITION: Metal retains 85% of its original finish with some light wear and handling marks. There is some freckling on the rear sight. Grips are excellent. Strong bore with crisp rifling. Tight hammer and cylinder. Good timing and lockup. Light drag line on the cylinder. Mechanically fine.
