The Ruger 10/22 Takedown is a lightweight, compact, and reliable rifle for easy transportation and storage. It features a Magpul® X-22 Backpacker stock with an ergonomic handguard and integrated storage compartment in the grip, along with a MOE SL® non-slip rubber buttpad. The stock also has a hinged storage compartment to store up to three spare 10-round magazines. In addition, the rifle has a unique locking interface to attach the barrel assembly to the receiver when transported.

The rifle's legendary action is a tried and true Ruger design that ensures consistent, reliable performance. The easy takedown enables quick barrel separation from the action for easy transportation and storage. Takedown is as simple as locking the bolt back and verifying that the rifle is unloaded, pushing a recessed lever, twisting the subassemblies, and pulling them apart.
