Knights Armament 5.56 QDC/CRS-PRT

The Knights Armament 5.56 QDC/CRS-PRT is a black suppressor built around Pressure Reduction Technology and a Quick Disconnect mount. It is made for 5.56 NATO and .223 Rem and measures 6.25 inches overall at 19.2 ounces. The QDC system connects to all 5.56 QDC muzzle devices and is listed at 24 dB sound reduction.

PRT is designed to release most of the pressure in the suppressor and bore before extraction starts. That helps limit the extra gas and wear that come with a conventional can and reduces felt recoil compared with a traditional suppressor at a similar sound level. First-round flash and muzzle flash are also addressed in the PRT layout. Repeatable point of impact shift stays low when switching between suppressed and unsuppressed fire, and the QDC mount is built to reduce carbon lock.

This CRS-PRT is suited to tactical rifles, training, and duty use on 5.56 QDC muzzle devices. Added length is 5.67 inches from a bare muzzle and 4.15 inches from a QDC 3-prong flash hider. Interval cleaning can be done with common bore solvents or an ultrasonic tank and water rinse.
