Winchester Model 54 270 Winchester Pre-64 Custom Discontinued

This Winchester Model 54 Bolt Action Rifle chambered in 270 Winchester is in very good overall condition. This rifle has had custom work performed in order to turn it into a very comfortable, handy hunting rifle. The Stith scope mount gives the optic a very flush look. This would make an interesting rifle to have in your collection. It shares the same lineage as the Mauser Model 98 and was produced from 1925-1936. Of note: it appears the safety was removed in order to enable the mounting of the optic onto the receiver. This does not affect functionality of the rifle, but is pointed out in the listing pictures. The Model 54 shares much of the same pride in craftsmanship that many of the older Winchester rifles and shotguns exude, like in the Model 70, Model 12, and other Pre-64 Winchesters.
