US Springfield M1 Garand rifle ’53

US Springfield M1 Garand rifle, .30 caliber, Serial #4269301. The rifle is in very good overall condition with a 24” barrel. The metal surfaces retain the majority of their original military finish with wear at the muzzle and high point edge wear. The smooth wood stock is in very good condition with only handling marks noted. The barrel is marked, “SA” and dated 8-53. The butt stock features an eagle with stars cartouche beneath the left side of the receiver and a Circle P behind the trigger guard. The butt stock includes sling swivels, an OD green canvas sling and ends with a checkered steel butt plate with trap. The bore is good, the action crisp and markings are sharp on this Korean War era M1.The rifle was delivered on June 15, 1999.
