The Pro Hunter II from Steyr is a purpose-built bolt-action hunting rifle engineered for long-range performance and rugged field use. Chambered in .300 Winchester Magnum and fitted with a 25" spiral cold-hammer-forged barrel (1:10" twist) with 1/2"-20 threading, this example is one of the rarer wood-stocked variants — a classic look without sacrificing the modern features that make the Pro Hunter II a dependable hunting platform.
Ergonomics and controls are built around Steyr’s Safe Bolt System (SBS) and a 3-position safety with bolt-handle and firing-pin locks for secure carry and transport. The action feeds from a 4-round SBS two-stage magazine and has a crisp ~3 lb trigger. Finished metal surfaces use Steyr’s Mannox finish for durable corrosion resistance, and the rifle ships with a 20 MOA Picatinny rail for optic mounting.
