Smith & Wesson Model 29 .44 Magnum – 4-Screw, 6½” Blue with Presentation Case (1958/59)

This early Smith & Wesson Model 29 represents the classic .44 Magnum in its most desirable vintage configuration. Made in 1958/59, this 4-screw N-frame wears a deep polished blue finish, 6½" solid-rib barrel, and beautiful checkered walnut target stocks with S&W medallions. The red/orange ramp front sight and white-outline adjustable rear sight complete the period-correct “target” package that made the Model 29 famous among magnum enthusiasts and collectors alike.

Condition is excellent, retaining approximately 98%+ original blue with only slight muzzle wear, a light cylinder drag line, and a few minor handling marks. The hammer and trigger retain about 99% vivid case colors, and the stocks show crisp checkering with only a couple of tiny missing slivers of wood. Mechanically it’s described as excellent. Included is the original S&W .44 Magnum presentation case with factory tools—bore rod, two attachments, and screwdriver—showing honest exterior wear on the lid but still perfectly suited for display and storage.
