Description
Remington 1903 Rifle. Only made for a single year in 1942 before Remington switched over to the 1903A3 pattern of rifle, the Remington 1903s greatly resemble the late WWI Rock Island 1903 rifles, and for good reason; these were made with Rock Island tooling and spare Rock Island stocks! A few other early war features persisted too – the parkerization hasn't quite gotten so green yet, for example. Condition is excellent. Wood is in extremely nice condition and shows very little in the way of service wear. A "P" stamping is present on the bottom of the wrist. All metal surfaces are clean and free of rust. All mechanical functions work properly.
