Hungarian Mosin-Nagant M44 Carbine W/Bayonet – Great Condition!

Hungarian M44 Mosin-Nagant Carbine. Only made for two years, this rifle was produced in the first year of production in 1953. These are fairly rare variants of the Mosin and are of very good quality – definitely a cut above the Chinese Type 53s in the writer's humble opinion. Condition is very good. All metal surfaces retain original finish with only a little bit of attractive patina on the bolt surfaces. Bore is good. Wood has a few small dings from service but retains rack markings and original varnish. Bayonet mechanism works correctly. Numbers do not match between bolt, receiver, and floorplate but mechanical function is excellent and bolt throw is very smooth for a Mosin. An original sling is included.
