Description
Manufactured in 1907.
he revolver has overall open loose scroll with background punch-dot shading. The genuine stag grips are un-numbered, rate excellent and fit very well, being proud in a few spots. Numbers are matching on frame, triggerguard and butt, the barrel is obviously a later replacement from the factory as the 38 Special was not introduced until 1930. The gun seems to function well mechanically, the hammer spring slightly light and the half-cock rest slightly worn. A very attractive Single Action Army with a very nice ''Old West'' look.
Serial #300458, 38 Special, 7 1/2'' barrel with a bright excellent bore. The metal surfaces retain about 98% later post-engraving nickel finish while the triggerguard and bottom of butt have been cleaned to bright with remnants of some light pitting, also with a remnants around the Rampant Colt logo. The trigger shows some remnants of a pale fire blue with the bright-polished sides of the hammer showing a couple light oxidation remnants on the left side, cleaned to bright along the spine. T
