Colt 1911 38 Super MKIV Series ’70 Government Model mfg. 1977

This is a rare Colt 1911 manufactured in 1977 chambered in 38 Super.  It comes with the beautiful Pachmayr rosewood / rubber grips that look as good as they feel.  This is a rare collectors piece as the piece is manufactured prior to the Colt Union strike of 1986 when many believe that Colt's quality control dropped signifigantly.  The 1911 requires handfitting parts and this piece was hand fit at the peak of Colt's manufacturing quality as you can see from the handfit barrel pictured..  By purchasing this piece you will own a functional piece of history.
