Description
This Colt 1911 is a striking commemorative edition honoring the 1-167th Infantry Regiment’s service in Afghanistan. Beautifully finished in polished stainless steel with gold-plated accents on the trigger, hammer, grip safety, and screws, it carries the Latin inscription “Signa Inferemus” (“We Shall Bring the Standard”) on one side of the slide and “1-167th Infantry Afghanistan” engraved on the other.
The pistol is fitted with textured gold-plated grips (with optional commemorative wood grips included), making it a standout display piece while still fully functional as a Colt 1911. Each example was built by Colt’s Manufacturing Co. in Hartford, Connecticut, with craftsmanship befitting both collectors and those with a personal connection to the unit.
Whether you’re a veteran of the 1-167th, a military historian, or a Colt collector, this commemorative 1911 is a rare and meaningful piece of history that embodies pride, service, and tradition.
