The Nueces ’73 Rifle pays tribute to Captain Leander H. McNelly and the Texas Rangers who protected the Nueces Strip a border area between the Rio Grande and the Nueces River to suppress lawlessness. Cimarron’s Nueces ’73 Rifle comes with a specially designed 24.25” heavy round barrel chambered in 45LC. The barrel is stamped with a ‘T * S’ that was stamped on rifles issued to the Texas Rangers.
