Description
Brazilian Mauser 08/34 in good condition. These handy little short Mausers, originally in 7x57mm, were rechambered into .30-06 by Brazil's IMBEL after WW2 and issued out to police forces. Carried a lot but shot a little, these rifles are high-quality and very strong Mauser 98s in a much easier cartridge to find than the usual variants. Condition is good. Bore is dark but has good rifling. Wood has a few dings but no serious cracks or dents and retains original varnish. Metal surfaces uniformly show an attractive patina but do not show brown rust or pitting. Mechanical funciton is very good with a smooth bolt throw and better than average trigger.
