1916 Swedish Mauser 96/38 Carbine 6.5x55mm – Nice Condition!

Swedish Mauser Model 96-38. These are factory cut down Model 1896 long rifles made into carbine configuration, which makes for a much handier rifle than the 30 inch barreled long guns. Rifle is in pretty nice condition throughout. Metal surfaces are very good, showing a little patina on bright metal surfaces and some service wear throughout but no ugly brown rust or major pitting – it's all an attractive patina. Wood shows worse than metal surfaces with some fairly heavy scraping near the buttplate but no cracks, serious dings, or major gouges. Brass stock disc is very nice and shiny. All mechanical functions work as they should. Threaded muzzle cap is missing. A "Vasteras" micro-adjustable rear sight is fitted.
